Elemental Series

back The Tabulation series was made by first layering color, then covering the panel with layers of encaustic. The design was then incised and carved to reveal the color underneath.

retour Œuvres antérieures sur papier Ces dessins sont physiques avec des surfaces travaillées. Le papier est gratté, creusé et déchiré. Dans certains travaux, un fil est utilisé pour créer une ligne. J'aime considérer ces œuvres sur papier comme des objets plutôt que comme des surfaces planes.

retour Série Gesture vs Structure Ces nouveaux dessins parlent de structure et de geste en utilisant divers matériaux tels que le fil, l'encre, le crayon et le fusain. La tension entre des formes libres et une grille est évidente dans ces œuvres qui sont des métaphores d'états d'être. SOLD

website For Art Fair 14C 2023, I shared a booth with three wonderful artists. Our booth showcased the work in encaustic, sculpture, ceramics and handmade / works on paper. Viewers were invited to explore both the inherent qualities and textures of the materials used by each artist and their narratives within each body of work.
